Dawn to Dusk
A work for seven dancers.
Dawn to Dusk, a collaboration with composer Mark Mercury, is basically a love triangle. The title implies that dance takes place in a 12 hour cycle; beginning with the rising of the sun and ending with the setting of the moon. The costumes reflect the color scheme range of the day. The main female is betrayed by her best friend but in the end she gains strength on her own.
Sponsored in part by a grant from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles Foundation for the Arts.
